Hey there!

I’m Alan, a software engineer from Cuernavaca, Mexico. I lived in Austin for four years, and Barton Springs is still one of my favorite places in the world.

I enjoy collaborating with others and digging into challenging problems. I gravitate towards bottlenecks and connect details to the big picture.

My journey

Across healthcare and proptech, I’ve worked on systems where good decisions depend on useful data, reliable integrations, and a clear view of what should happen next. I bring hands-on engineering together with the technical leadership to help a team move from a tangled process to software people can rely on.

A few more things

I run Agents and Founders a community focused on helping each other leverage AI to build your own business. Please join if you're interested in helping others and getting help in return!

One of my pet projects is The Friend Forecast, an open source platform to help people stay connected to friends and family through small pods that share a glimpse into their life through weekly questions.

If you enjoy thinking about the future and want a hopeful outlook, I'm writing a solarpunk story in my spare time called Sunflowers for Austin. I'm using a thing called the Whitman Protocol that helps normal people bring the stories in their head to life.
